Concord researcher, writer, and history detective Beth van Duzer will take you into her adventures hunting for history and writing into the light people lost in time. From exploring graveyards, mission-driven road trips, and time spent pouring over old ledgers, like Bilbo Baggins in the J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit, Beth's journeys are full of unexpected journeys that bring her back to the Concord Free Public Library William Munroe Special Collections and the Town Archives.
Anke Voss, the Concord Free Public Library’s Curator of the William Munroe Special Collections, will join Beth in discussing the critical role of archives in accessing materials and providing the primary source strands for weaving a tale onto the page and beyond.
This will be a hybrid event. In-person seating is limited. Please RSVP to reserve a seat. Virtual attendees, please RSVP to receive a Zoom link.
